About the Program
The services Jill’s House provides would not be possible without our generous volunteers! As a result, we would love to partner with you to provide fun and engaging experiences for kids with intellectual disabilities and respite for their families.
Group Buddy
Directly engage with the
kids we serve
Ways to Serve:
Kitchen Helper
Prepare meals and snacks
for the kids
Admin Helper
Support our administrative
staff with various projects
What is Required of Me?
- Be at least 16 years old
- Live in the DC metro area
- Commit to serving at least two, 3-hour shifts
each month - Submit an online application to be reviewed and accepted by the Volunteer Program Manager
- Complete mandatory volunteer training
- Provide proof of a negative tuberculosis test, taken within the last month
- Pay $10 for a background check through Jill’s House, if 18 years old or older
